Applicants for the British Stunt Register Rock Climbing Award go through a 2 part assessment process and are expected to demonstrate their personal competence leading multi pitch climbs at VS 4c
Part 1 - Budding stunt performers who wish to qualify in rock climbing need to pass the RCI (Rock Climbing Instructor) award. This training & assessment course covers rigging, climbing and abseiling in a single pitch environment. Part 2 - Applicants are then assessed while leading two multi pitch climbs at VS 4c Prior to assessment you need to have led a minimum of 15 multi pitch routes at VS 4c and above. These logged climbs need to be in a minimum of 3 different areas of the UK and on 3 different rock types. Successful applicants tend to have plenty of additional climbing experience than these minimums. |
MTN Safety can work with you throughout this process from your very first steps on the rock to rigging your first anchors and leading your first multi pitch climbs to guidance and training in developing your logbook. We also offer training in more advanced ropework skills including advanced rigging, self rescue and alpine ropework
